TUBAH COUNCIL DISINFECTS UBa CAMPUS AHEAD OF SCHOOL RESUMPTION.

MENCHUM: ECUDA SECOND PHASE, FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19 HOPEFUL

Distribution of the kits  The Esu Cultural and Development Association ECUDA has rounded off the second phase of the distribution of kits fight against the spread of Covid-19 in Esu fondom alongside other, neighboring villages including  Zhoa and Wum. Just like in the first phase, the  second phase of the project to stop covid-19 from entering Esu is an initiative of the President General of ECUDA Mr Ndzo Augustine. The delegation that went down to Esu and other villages in Menchum was headed by the secretary General of the Esu Cultural and Development Association (ECUDA) Mr Bong Valentine with high instructions from his President. Just 3 months into office, The Mayor and his close collaborators have been able to clear all businesses around the Governor and the custom's Junctions relocating them to the Bamenda I market which before now was half empty with close to 70 sheds well contructed and 40 makeshift sheds. Custom area now. The relocated traders were given a 3 months free rent by the Council beginning from the Month of  April 2020. The Mayor explained that the gesture is to permit the relocated traders to settle down in the Market and regain back their customers. The mayor added that it was equally a strategy to peacefully relocate them to the market. PRESSURE HEIGHTENS FOR THE RELEASE OF BUEA BASE JOURNALIST.

Samuel Wazizi  National and Internacional pressure have continued to pile on the Government of Cameroon calling for the unconditional and immediate release of some Journalists currently behind bars including Samuel  Ajiekeh Abuwe fondly called Samuel Wazizi. Samuel Wazizi has spent more than 280 days incarcerated incommunicado following his arrest on August 2, 2019 by some elements of the 3rd district Police in Muea.
