TUBAH COUNCIL DISINFECTS UBa CAMPUS AHEAD OF SCHOOL RESUMPTION.

The Mayor of Tubah Council Tanjong Martin with the help of the Army rescue of Bamenda on Saturday May 30, 2020 disinffected the University of Bamenda and other schools within the Tubah Subdivision.

According to the mayor, these are part of the measures put in place by the Council to prepare school campuses in Tubah municipality for an effective school resumption come Monday June 1. The mayor added that the council is doing all to put a Fence to the spread of the corona Virus given that alot of students will be coming in the municipality from other part of the country which are host to covid-19 patients.

On the field to assist the Mayor disinfect the schools was the Member of parliament for  Bafut-Tubah Honorable Oliver Agho who described the art to be timely given that students will be coming in from different backgrounds.  Honorable Oliver Agho said that the increasing number of covid-19 patients is disturbing, reasons why the school environment needs to be protected.
Students seen on campus
Few students were spotted around the University campus as they seem ready to take the challenge to get back in lecture halls as from Monday. "I am exited to resume school, if you look around you will realized that they are disinfecting the campus and lecture halls. It is a indicative that lectures will resume, I have made provision of a good number of face mask, hand sanitizers to protect me myself on and off campus. I equally hope that the University has put in place barrier measures against the spread of Covid-19" said one of the students.
Army Rescue disinfectingred the campus
The doors of the University campuses in Cameroon and that of primary and secondary schools were closed on the March 17, 2020 by the Prime Minister Joseph Ngute. These doors will thus be open on Monday June 1 but not all the students will be on campus at the same time. Universities have drawn up timetables for lecture, meanwhile at the level primary and secondary schools, only examination classes will be allow on their respective campuses. All the schools are expected to respect all the barrier measures as prescribe by the Government.
