Bamenda central prison van With the advent of the Corona Virus Pandemic, some prisoners in Cameroon have been released on the instructions of the Head of state Paul Biya. Friday April 24, 2020, will remain a Joyful day to be remembered by some inmates across the North West Region who benefited from the decision of the head of state Paul Biya to decongest prisons in Cameroon in order to limit the spread of the corona virus.  In Nkambe 31 inmates were released, 18 in Fundong, 17 in Kumbo, 11 in wum, 4 in Mbengwi and 138 at the Bamenda central prison regained their freedom, here the procureur General of the Apeal court in Bamenda Justice Albert Njie Nganje advised the released inmates to be responsible and not to get involve in any act that might bring them back into the prison. The fight against covid 19 in Bamenda 1 Municipality Mayor Mbigha Felix Addressing quarter heads  Some items to fight the spread of the corona Virus Pandemic has been donated by Mayor of  Bamenda 1 council.
