MBENGWI MAYOR TAKES OATH, APRIL 8,2020

Mayor taking Oath
The recently elected mayor of the Mbengwi Council has taken an oath of commitment, duty consciousness and the respect of laws governing the Civil Status administration in Cameroon.  Mayor Ndasang Kennedy Akam in front of the people of Cameroon at the High Court in Mbengwi on the 8th of April swore to stand and unshakable towards the discharge of the duties assigned him by the population. This ritual is recommended by the law and thus must be effected as recommended by ministry of Discentralisation and Local Governance.
In the presence of the SDO of Momo, Fouda Nikcais B. Etaba and the DO for Mbengwi Central Sakwe Jarvis .S the president of the court called on Mayor Akam to guide against diabolic friends, relatives and colleagues.  According to him, these are the groups of people who could frustrate his vision and focus towards meaningful development job commitment. They would sort to enjoy nepotism,  tribalism, favoritism and above all hedonism which are all vices in every result based expedition.
Mayor and SDO
That he would work with those who voted for him,  those who did not vote for him,  those who took him captive for weeks and delayed his oath taking and installation and other detractors is equal to a civil administration mix in front of him and his councilors.  The issuance of birth certificates,  marriage certificates, Akam was told would meet no barriers or bias. After all he is mayor to everyone in the sub division with an opposition muscle flexing and separatist close up to the creeping Anglophone wahala. After the ritual and downloads,  Mayor Akam told the press that he is aware of the task ahead of him and thus would not accomplish alone. He would need the entire population and the will of God to ferry across as one man one power. That to him would be the best way phase lift Mbengwi Central Subdivision to a blissful hight free from crime yet pregnant with dialog,  tolerance,  forgiveness and true development. Asked if he had any priority project,  mayor Akam said all the projects are as important and necessary as each other and so will be tackled according to prescriptions from the Council Development Plan, the CDP.

Mayor and Deputies
He regretted the crisis rocking the rejoin but hoped that the days ahead would bring around King Midas to touch both camps so that calm and normalcy returns. He is of the age group that could impact the future and thus would know what to do with and for people he knows for sure so well.
He was born in 1974 and teacher by profession. He will with his councilors on the CPDM political platform ensure that peace,  love and social cohesion strives in Mbengwi in the next  five years. A vision he holds can only be accomplished through the participatory appraisal approach.
This oath taking of April 8 it should be noted comes surely after he must have taken one while on capacity by the separatists just after the twin elections in February this year. His swearing comes weeks after that of his deputies and councilors owing to abduction.
