MAYOR TANJONG MARTIN FIGHTS AGAINST COVID-19

The outbreak of the Corona virus which has created panic across the Globe was under review in Tubah Subdivision in the Mezam Division North West Region on Friday April 3, 2020.

During the launching campaign at D.Os office to sensitize the population of Tubah Subdivision on preventive measures to stop the spread of the Corona virus, the Mayor of Tubah Tanjong Matin caution the population to respect the rules put in place by the Government of Cameroon inorder to limit the spread of the deadly pandemic,
"the only vaccine we have now for this virus is to respect the 13 rules put inplace by the Government and World Health Organization" said the Mayor.
 He added that all Markets and public place in Tubah Subdivision will be total clean clean up.

On his part the Divisional officer for Tubah Subdivision Alim Garga called on all business operators, Religious and Traditional authorities to collaborate with Government so as to fight against the spread of the Corona virus in the Subdivisions and that the forces law and order are at work to ensure that the 13 measures set by the Government are respected.

From the D.O's office, the Campaign team moved to the University of Bamenda, Express Exchange, NFC bank, Bambili Credit Union and other strategic areas, at each stop the Mayor handed over a bucket, a cube of Soap, face masks,  and a well designed 10 litre Hydro Alcoholic solution hand sanitizer.

According to the Mayor the distributions worth Twenty Million (FCFA 20,000,000) will continue in all the 4 villages that make the Tubah Municipality in days ahead so as to build a wall against Covid-19 in Tubah Subdivision.

Flyers carrying preventive messages against Covid-19 were equally distributed while posters and banners with the same messages have been put up in strategic places across the Municipality.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
