The fight against covid 19 in Bamenda 1 Municipality

Some items to fight the spread of the corona Virus Pandemic has been donated by Mayor of Bamenda 1 council.
The items which was handed over to quarter heads in the Municipality comprised of tap bucket to else hand washing, 100 buckets for collection of water, catons of soap, over 5000 reusable facemask and a good number of paper napkins.

Before the donations were made, the Chief of Service for the Bamendankwe Intergrated Helath Center Tioso Ramsom elaborated on the various measures to prevent the spread of Covid 19, he also enjoined all those present to respect the measures put in place by the Government of Cameroon and the World Health Organization.

While handing over the items to the quarter heads in the presence of His Royal Highness Fon FOSUH FONGWA ll of Bamendankwe,
The Mayor of Bamenda 1 council Mbigha Felix, adviced that they should position the tap buckets at strategic area for it to served the purpose of hand washing. Given that Bamenda up station is the gate way into the North West Region, the Mayor Caution the population take special measures and make sure they report any suspected case of the Coronavirus through the toll-free number 1510.

At the end of the meeting the Mayor reminded the quarter heads that they are all part of the developmental process of the Municipality given the new law on decentralization. This means that quarter heads can identify and execute projects in their respective areas finance by the council.

On behalf of the Quater heads Mr. Tita Christopher appreciated the Council for such a timely humanitarian gesture and also promise that they carried home the message and will educate members of their respective quarters.
