MBENGWI: HEAD OF STATE GIFT TO FIGHT COVID-19 DISTRIBUTED.


Caravan on the streets of Mbengwi 
A cross section of the population of Mbengwi sub-division, Momo Division of the North West Region on Thursday May 14, 2020 staged a Caravan in Mbengwi to thank the Head of state H.E Paul Biya for the gifts to help combat covid-19 in the Sub division.
Items donated by the Head of state
The caravan was made up of Motorbikes who accompanied the Divisional Officer for Mbengwi Central Mr Sakwe Jarvis from his office passing through major streets in Mbengwi to the esplanade of the Senior Divisional Officer's office. 
Mayor Mbengwi Council 
In his welcome address, the mayor of Mbengwi Council Mr Ndangsa Kenedy appreciated the gesture from the head of state and implored the inhabitants of Mbengwi to make good use of the materials. The mayor however called on the population to be more Caution than ever before given that Mbengwi has already recorded cases of the Corona Virus, he added that family members should limite the number of people attending funerals within this period.
Divisional Officer for Mbengwi Central 
 The Divisional Officer for Mbengwi Central, Mr Sakwe Jarvis, while presenting the gifts made up of tap buckets, cartons of soap, Hand sanitizers and face mask, describe the head of state as a father who always turn back to check on his children especially in times of crisis.

The Senior Divisional Officer for Momo Division, Mr Fouda Etaba Bernoit Nicaise, on his part said that the best way for the population to thank the Head of state for the gifts to fight against the spread of covid-19 is to collaborate for peace to return in Momo Division and Mbengwi sub-division in Particular. The representative of the head of state in the Division reiterated that all those who will Voluntary drop their arms will be welcome and re-integrated into the Society.

The SDO of Momo Division, the D.O for Mbengwi Central and the  Mayor of Mbengwi Council alongside other top officials of the Sub-division, significantly handed over the materials to  representatives of churches, mosques, health centers, schools, Markets, associations amongst others.

From Mbengwi, the population of Njikwa, Ngie,  Batibo and Widikum in the days ahead will get their own share of the presidential gift to help combat Covid-19 in Momo Division.
