END OF YEAR MESSAGE FROM CAMRAISE ACADEMY

*End of year address from the Managing Director of Camraise Academy*

Arnaud Kouamo, Managing Director Camraise Academy

Accept end of year greetings from myself and from the entire team of Camraise Academy.

The year 2021 was a year full of successes as well as Challenges at the Academy. In January 2021 the Academy was suppose to launch her activities at the Bamenda central prison with a mini-Concert with the prisoners, however that was not possible due to the Corona Virus and other challenges which limited us to carryout that particular activity at the Bamenda Central prison. After serveral meetings with some partners and supporters who bought the idea with all their heart, it wasn't possible for the activity to go through due to the aforementioned reason.

Still in January we planned to organise the 9th edition of Camraise Music Show (CAMUSH 9) with the date and flyers released, unfortunately for us the socio-Political crisis that has lasted for over 5 years now in Bamenda couldn't permit us to effectively organize one of the Shows that for the past 4 years now has gained and won the hearts of showbiz lovers in Bamenda. The show initially slated for January 30, 2021 and eventually saw several postponements, could not take place independently due to several ghost towns and lockdown in Bamenda.

Being an Academy with the aim of promoting and organizing media tours for artists and content creators, we were able to facilitate the madia tour and promotion of several artists throughout the year 2021.

On October 31, 2021 Camraise Academy Successfully organised the 3rd edition of CAMRAISE ACADEMY AWARDS (CAMACA) during which 40 individuals and groups were recognised for their hardwork in ther respective fields. Amongst the 40 awards, were 10 Special awards which was highly appreciated by the Public given the 10 selected groups and individuals actually deserve the recognition. The 30 other awards in the music, movie and other categories were also appreciated as more persons and organisations promised to fully support the 4th edition of the awards expected to take place this 2022.

As we look up to the Coming year, we wish to thank the Almighty God for his protection and guidance towards us in 2021 and we pray He continues in 2022.

In 2022 we are planning to carryout a lot of projects that we could not do in 2021, amongst these is the signing of three (3) upcoming artists which the Academy is ready to put all her energy to bring them to the lamplight. In 2022 we will be able to launch the first edition of Camraise  Academy Magazine which will be aimed at spotlighting the works of all entertainers in and out of the North West Region. We promise to regularly bring Camraise Music Show (CAMUSH) which in the past has helped to bring alot of artist to the lamplight. In this light in March 2022 we are going to have the 10th edition of CAMUSH.

We expect the 4th edition of Camraise Academy Awards in 2022 to meet the expectations of our fans and supporters.

We are open to suggestions that can help improve on our works to the satisfaction of all.

As the fight for a cultural center in Bamenda continues amongst stkeholders in the industry, we at Camraise Academy promise to hold strong on that fight, this because we believe with a cultural center,  we can protect and protect the cultural values and talents that migrate out of the Region on daily basis.

In the course of the year 2021 we lost a couple of young artists, some were killed in connection to the crises that is  why we can not be indifferent to this and we plead on the power that be to look into the situation and bring a lastly solution to the crisis which has equally limited the organisation in shows in Bamenda especially nocturnal programmes.

While hoping to have more partners and working partners in the yeah 2022, we wish you all the best in the new year and pray that God see you throughout this year and we work together.
