SOCIAL SAFETY PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO 3500 PERSONS.

Beneficiaries 

A total of 3500 persons within the three subdivisions that make up Bamenda have benefited from financial assistant from the Social Safty Net project. They received they Payment at the esplanade of the North West governor's office on Thursday December 29,2020.


The Social Safty net is a project initiated inorder to help alleviate poverty in communities suffering from both man made or Natural crisis.

"The project has four components and in Bamenda as of now, two of them are going on, that is the emergency cash transfer normal and the emergency cash transfer for COVID-19 which the payment will be done in the days ahead."
said Achiri Desmond relay officer Bamenda III.


The project has a duration of one year and at the end of the project each beneficiary will go home  with a sum of 180,000frs to be paid in 6 instalments.

Staff of Safty Net

In order to sustained the beneficiaries, safety Net encourages them to stand up small businesses, this is done through community relay officers who work on daily basis with these beneficiaries so as to help them achieve something sustainable from the cash gotten from Safty Net.

The project founded by the world bank aim at protecting families from the impact of economic shocks, Natural disasters and other crisis.
