PWD: NKABYO WAS NOT THE PROBLEM!

After the departure of Coach David Pagou from the bench of PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda at the close of the 2021/2022 football Season, the Club was on a position "feared" by many other Clubs.

Inorder to maintain this Status, the Club engaged in what has been term as one of the best recruitment that the club has ever had in recent times. The management of the club went in for more professional and experience players, this at a time when the club was preparing to face Elgeco Plus at the preliminary stage of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Surprisingly Coach Nkabyo Martin was announced as the head coach of the Abakwa boys with the immediate challenge to build up a complete new team and face  Elgeco plus at the preliminary phase of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The former Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda tactician, played the home and away games against Elgeco plus with the following results (1-1 home and 0-1 away) a result which will eliminate the Abakwa boys from the Competition.

With the pressure from the management and Fans  of the Club, Coach Nkabyo Martin started the 2022/2023 football season with 2 defeats and was immediately shown the door.

His assistant immediately took over and won just 4 out of 11 games, he to was Sacked from the bench of PWD because of poor results. 

As it stands, PWD of Bamenda occupies the 9th position in pool A with 18 points, same points with the two bottom on the classification table, Renaissance and Avion respectively. 

The Abakwa boys are left with 4 important games which will determine their fate in Elite one Championship. The remaining games of PWD are against Avion and Renaissance both clubs also battling with relegation and Canon and Cotonsport both clubs aiming to qualify for the playoffs.

    We can only hope to stay in the elite 1 championship and correct the errors next season. Nice report comrad

    I wish PWD Bamenda the best. May they survive relegation and rebuild the team for brighter days.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
