PWD: WHO WILL BE THE SAVIOR?

 Just 7 more matches to the end of the MTN Elite one, the Public Works Department Social Football Club of Bamenda occupies the 10th position in Pool "A" after 13 matches played with just 13 points earned.

The Abakwa boys who ended the 2019/2020 football Season as Champions and the winners of the 2021 edition of the Cup of Cameroon under leadership of Coach David Pagou.

After the double triumph of PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda, Coach David Pagou despite playing the next season away from home and flanked with numerous injured players, Coach David Pagou was still able to maintain the team in Elite one, the team ended the Championship that season on the third Spot behind Coton Sport of Garoua and Eding Sport of Lekie in Pool B.

After PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda suffered a one to zero defeat at the round of 32 at the Cup of Cameroon against Real of Bertoua at the Military Stadium in Yaounde, the Management of PWD immediately dismissed David Pagou at this point Many though it was a good decisions to get a new tacticians at the helm of the Abakwa boys. 

At a time when the team was preparing to face Elgeco plus at the preliminary stage of the CAF Confederations Cup, the service of Coach Nkabyo Martin was hired with the ambition of taking PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda into atleast the Second round of the Competition.

New and more experience players were recruited into the team, a good number of the old guards who had given Joy and sacrificed their all during the glorious days of the team were layoff. 

Here some fans started casting doubt if PWD will be able to keep the same steem as in the past, their worries was confirmed when Elgeco plus eliminated the team at the first stage of the Competition with a draw game in Bafoussam and defeat in Managascar.

At the beginning of the 2022/2023 football Season, PWD again suffered 2 defeats respectively and Coach Nkabyo Martin was Sacked. At this time the fans though that the management of the team was preparing to hire someone to takeover, however that was not the case as the assistant Coach Nsame was given the tasked to continue with the Job. 

After being on the bench of PWD for 11 games, he was able to win just 4, 1 draws and 6 defeats. Dissatisfy with the results, the management of the team, suspended the Interim Coach few days to end of the league.

Looking at the present position of PWD Social Football Club of Bamenda on the classification table in pool A which is a relegation position,  it will take a prompt emergency reaction from the management to safe PWD of Bamenda from drawning.

This is happening at a time when a renowned Caoch from the North West Region Soh Simplis is on internship with the Abakwa boys. His experience of saving team from dying might just play in at this moment when every Fan of  PWD wants their dealing team to be maintained in Elite one.

Soh Simplis Commonly known as Pro Coachy Marichal had one team safe PWD from drawning, he was the brian behind the reconstruction of the new PWD of Bamenda that was in the dark for l close to 10 years. Yong Sports Academy will forever be grateful to him as he rescued the team from dissolving some years back. Soh Simplis also played the North West Regional League finals as head coach of Universal Soccer against Ranger FC Bafut who eventually qualify for Elite two Championship. The tactician used his experience to Manage Foncha street FC at a time when many person had lost interest in the team.

All is now left in the hands of the top management and the determination from the Players to safe the Abakwa boys not to be relegated into Elite two championship.

PWD 2020/2021

At the end of the Championship, the first two clubs in Pool A and Pool B will qualify for the playoffs to determine the Champion. Meanwhile the last two teams from each pool will automatically be relegated and the 3rd last teams will have play down match the winner will be maintained and the other relegated into Elite two.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
