Matching words with action, the philanthropist on Friday April 29, 2022 effectively handed over the sum of FCFA 100,000 to each player of PWD SFC of Bamenda who took part at the 2021 Cameroon Cup finals.

During a dinner offered in honor of the team, Joseph Mubang while thanking the team for wiping the tears of an entire Region that wept in 1979 when the team lost the cup of Cameroon finals to Dynamo of Douala with a heartbreaking score of 3goals to 1, Joseph Mubang promised another mouthwatering donation to the players however with a hard condition attached to it.

Joseph Mubang addressing the players

"Listen very well if you guys win all your next 11 games in the Championship, I will hand over to each of you FCFA 11 million. My reason is that each of you should atleast own a house and ride in a car. So if you look at the time and its the 90th minute and you think about that 11 million make sure you scored the winning goal." Said Joe Mubang.

With this statement, it was clear that for the players to benefit from the FCFA 11 million, the team is supposed to win all the 11 matches without loosing any during the return leg phase of the championships.

It is proving difficult for the Abakwa boys as they were unable to win their first game  against Bambatous of Mbouda by 2 goals to zero on Sunday May 15, 2022 at the Molyko stadium in Buea.

This latest defeat has sparked out calls from some fans of the Abakwa boys who calling on Coach David Pagou to be sacked.

It should be noted that Coach David Pagou in his first football Season with the Abakwa Boys, for the  2019/2020 football season won the league title and proceeded to win the the 2020/2021 Cup of Cameroon thereby giving the  club her biggest achievements since creation in 1962.

Others are of the opinion that, the Coach be maintained at this point because leaving the team now after winning the league title and the Cup of Cameroon trophies could just be the best choice for the Coach.

However to meet up with the ambitions of PWD according to the Club's President General  Pascal Abunde, Coach David Pagou should be maintained and given the necessary resources to bring home more trophies.
