MARIE-LOUIS NGWA CHEKA AT 60, STEPS OUT OF SERVICE AFTER 30 YEARS

Marie-Louis Ngwa Cheka, Station Manager of Crtv North West has celebrated over 30 of Service cumulatively with her 60th Birthday.

During a thanksgiving Mass organised on her honour, on Friday November 26, 2021 at the esplande of Crtv North West, Rev. Father Michael Kintang appreciated Marie-Louis Ngwa Cheka for always putting God first in all that she does, confirming her art by organising a thanks given mass as she goes on retirement.

Amongst the dignitaries present to sent her off on retirement was the Governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele lafrique who used the occasion to celebrate Marie-Louis for her services render to Crtv and particular to the North West Regional servce. The Governor believes that, though going on retirement, Marie-Louis Ngwa Cheka is still a great source for many.

Marie Louise Ngwa Cheka was born on the 15th of November 1961. She studied in the University of Yaounde from 1981 to 1984 where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and African Literary Studies.

 Ngwa Cheka then moved to the United Kingdom where she obtained an M. Ed Masters in Communication in 1986 from the University of Manchester (formerly the Victoria University) and followed up with a Post Graduate Diploma in Techniques in Radio and Television broadcasting in 1988.

The post graduate diploma was awarded by the Lancashire School of Radio and Television Journalism.

 Marie Louise Ngwa Cheka has a rich professional experience which includes a stint as Post Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Leicester (pronounced LEISTER) in the UK from January 1988 to August 1989.

 She joined the Cameroon Radio Television - Crtv in November 1989 as a reporter and handled national and international issues.

Her steadfastness and diligence have been key to her rise from junior to Senior journalist and then to editorialist.

Prior to her appointment as Crtv North West Station Manager in September 2015, Marie Louise Ngwa Cheka had occupied many positions; News and Magazines Supervisor, Head of Crtv's Public Relations Department, Newscaster, Editor-in-chief in charge of News Magazines, and  Service Head in charge of Health, to name but these.

She will be missed by all the staff of Crtv North West, who described her as a mother during and after working hours.
