PWD ENROUTE TO THE FINALS 03: "MY DREAM TO PLAY THE CUP OF CAMEROON FINALS IS HERE." HERBERT MBUNWE CHEM.


Chem in action with the Abakwa boys 

The former player of Santos Fc of Bambui, who now plays with PWD Social Club of Bamenda has always dreamt of playing the cup of Cameroon finals.

Playing the cup of Cameroon finals is always a dream to most players in Cameroon, however not everyone gets the opportunity to be part of the football Jamboree which is considered as the biggest football encounter each year in country. 

Herbert MBUNWE CHEM 

At this year's finals, PWD Social Club of Bamenda braces up to lock horns with  Astres of Douala, it will be the first time for most of her players to play the Cup of Cameroon finals. One of the players who is preparing hard for the finals is 19 year old Herbert MBUNWE CHEM.

"My greatest dream when I was still with Santos Fc of Bambui was to take part in the Cup of Cameroon finals. I watched the last Cup finals in 2019 between Starde Renard of Melong and AS FAP of Yaounde, the game motivated me to one day dream of playing the finals, I am happy that I'm about to realise that dream." Said Chem

Chem on duty 

According to Chem, the dream of playing the Cup of Cameroon finals, came just one year after he joined the Abakwa boys, he added that this dream came so fast because of the teamwork and discipline in PWD of Bamenda thanks to Coach Pagou David.

"Our Coach is a very discipline man, he is a father to us and he always tells us to pray and ask God to help us realise our dream. His formula is actually working in the team". Chem

The future is bright

The left forward winger, being so confident says after winning the Cup of Cameroon with the Abakwa boys, he will love to play again with club so as to win the league title and eventually play the CAF Champions league before thinking of a greener future.

"I promise to do my best alongside my teammates to bring back the trophy home.". 

The number 20 for Pwd of Bamenda.

PWD Social Club of Bamenda are presently training in Yaounde ahead of the 2021 Cup of Cameroon finals against Astres of Douala on a date still to be announce.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
