Pa's Casket at the Santa ceremonial ground 

The official burial ceremony of the Right Honorable Simon Achidi Achu has taken place in Santa Subdivision, North West Region of Cameroon on Saturday July 3, 2021 in presence of H.E Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, Prime minister of the Republic of Cameroon, setting in for the Head of state H.E Paul Biya.

As soon as the casket with the remains of one time Prime Minister of the Republic of Cameroon and pioneer Vice President of the Senate arrived at the Santa ceremonial ground, the Prime Minister representing the head of state, placed the wreath from the Presidential couple before posthumously raising the late statesman to the Grand Cordon of the Cameroon order of merit in the watchful eyes of mourners from the four corners of the country and beyond.

Rev. Miki Hans Abia

The Rev. Miki Hans Abia, Synod clerk of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, a Church where Pa Achidi Achu was an active Christian, challenged the mourners to look up to God and not to Man in a sermon caption "let your heart not be troubled". The man of God described Pa Achidi Achu as a peaceful person during his time here on earth, however transiting in an unpeacefull era in the country. The Rev. Miki Hans used the occasion to appealed to the youths not to listen to the voices the promote hates. 

Former P.M Philemon Yang

Former Prime Minister Philemon Yang, read the message from the central committee of the Cameroon People's Democracy Movement, CPDM, a political party that the Right Honorable Simon Achidi Achu believed in and promoted it activities until his dead. 

Pa's Son Jude Tetang Achu

The eldest son of Achidi Achu, Jude Tetang Achu on behalf of the family appreciated the states for accompanied their father to his resting place in Santa. 

 

Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique 

To crown the eulogies, the Governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele lafrique read out the Condolence message of the head of state H.E Paul Biya addressed to the family of Simon Achidi Achu.

Many have described the Right Honorable Achidi Achu as a Father to all who came on his path. 

 "Pa was a very good man, he has helped alot of people who were not even from his family. As early as 5am hundred of people came to see Pa at the Rock Farm and he will patiently received everybody while making sure that they were all satisfied. Pa didn't believe in infastructural investment but rather he invested in people who are now well positioned in the society". Said one of the mourners.

After the commendation rites by the Men of God, Pa Achidi Achu's remains was taken to the Rock Farm on the hills of Santa where he now rest in a place he had spent most of his time working on the farm after retirement.

"Count your blessings... name them one by one... and you will be amazed at the wonders God has done". this was Pa's favourite song which describes exactly the amazing things he achieved during 86 years on earth.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
