BAMENDA II COUNCIL: MAYOR CHENWI PETER HANDS OVER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE BAMENDA REGIONAL HOSPITAL.

64 patients at the Bamenda Regional Hospital have benefited from a donation of one million francs CFA, this to help pay their medical bills. 

The donation made on Saturday June 5, 2021 by the Mayor of Bamenda ll Council, Chenwi Peter was aimed at reaching out to some patients who are unable to pay their medical bills. 

Mayor Chenwi Peter said that, he was motivated to visite the Bamenda Regional hospital which is a referral hospital within his municipality due to the several application files from patients requesting the assistance of the council to meet up with their medical bills.

Some beneficiaries 

After receiving the sum of FCFA 1,000,000 from the hands of the Mayor, the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Denis Nsame appreciated the effort made by council to help patients in the hospital.

The director added that from 2018 to 2021 the hospital has lost close to FCFA 151,000,000 as a result of unpaid builds. Dr Nsame used the opportunity to demand for more assistance in terms of infastructure and equipment given the high demand from the growing population of Bamenda.

Since taking over as the Mayor of Bamenda II Council in 2020, Chenwi Peter has been described by many as a humanitarian with a heart to help meet the need of the people within his council area and beyond.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
