MBENGWI COUNCIL ADOPTS 2020 ACCOUNT, MAYOR NDANGSA APPLAUDS TRADERS FOR VOLUNTARILY PAYING THEIR TAXES

In the presence of the Senior Division Officer for Momo Division Mr.Fouda Etaba Benoit N. alongside other top officials of the Division, Councilors of the Mbengwi Municipal council headed by  Mayor Ndangsa Kenedy Akam have delibrated on the development of the municipality during the management and administrative account session of the council held on Wednesday Match 31,2021 at the Mbengwi Council Hall. 

After close to 5 hours of deliberations, the management and administrative account of the council for 2020 which stands at FCFA 684.744.646 in revenue and FCFA 566.126.889 in expenditure was unanimously adopted by the councillors.

"This is my second Management and administrative account session, the first one wasn't  account, the one am defending now is my account. So far for yhe year 2020 Mbengwi Council through the executive has realised a number of projects in the municipality. Basically the electrification of some villages in the municipality, the construction of a modern slorter house in Njah, the renovation of the Grandstand and the municipal stadium amongst others" said Mayor Ndangsa.

Despite the Challenges, the collection of revenue stands at 86%, this the Mayor said it is thanks to the sensitization which has push traders and truck drivers to voluntarily pass by the council pay their tickets.

During the council session, the mayor announced future projects that will make the municipality of Mbengwi to reflect a modern town. The contruction of an ultra modern stadium with the help of international partners and the contruction of a commercial street are both future projects in the municipality.

On his part the Senior Division Officer of Momo Division cautioned the councillors to work for the interest of the population of Mbengwi and not for political parties. He further called on the population to work in collaboration with the administration of the Mbengwi for peace to return thereby paving a way for the development Mbengwi Municipality.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
