"BUI MUST BE TOTALLY CLEAN", GENERAL NKA VOWS DURING OPERATION BUI 1

 Over 400 Defense and Security forces headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out an operation in Bui Division code name "Operation Bui 1". 

The operation which was launched on February 23, 2021, had as mission to track down separatist fighters in Bui Division, an area consider as one of the most feared areas in the North West Region beginning of the crisis in 2016.

To evaluate the operation that last for 8 days, the Commander of the 5th Joint Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere alongside the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwesse Divine on Tuesday March 2, 2021 were in kumbo, the headquarters of Bui Division, here Colonel Matiang Charle Alain gave a balance sheet of the operation.

"The mission started on a very difficult note with the lost of 3 of our soldiers and 7 others wounded, during an ambush at the enterance of Kumbo. In general this mission was discentralised given that the targetted zones which were far off. In the course of the operation, 12 Separatist fighters were neutralise amongst which was 'general Asan'. Many others were wounded."

In response to Colonel Matiang Charles Alain, Brigadier General Nka valere started by appreciating the soldiers for their bravery on the field despite the lost recorded at the beginning of the operation. The General reiterated that the fight against separatist fighters most continue until Bui Division is totally clean.

"Our mission is to protect Cameroonians and their property, therefore our soldiers on the field need their collaboration so as to put an end to the activities of separatist fighters which has brought suffering on the local population. I have told the soldiers that they should respect Human right while on the field" said General Nka Valere.

For the 8 days, the Defense and Security forces destroyed amba Camps in Oku- Ngemsiba, Bokuvi, Verkovi, Tatum, Kumbo and in Nko the Soldiers successfully destroyed a camp in Yelum which was the epicenter of production of locally made guns. In this same area a training center known as "Kutaba" where a retired Soldier and a Prison guard had been training Amba fighters, the camp was uncovered and immediately destroyed.

The administration of Bui Division, headed by the Senior Division Officer, Lanyuy Harry have pledge their support to the Defense and Security Forces in the fight against Separatist fighters in the Division.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
