The authorithies of the 5th Region Military Hospital Bamenda, located in Bamenda lll Subdivision have called on the population to mske use of the services provided by the health facility and dismiss the stigma that the facility is meant for the military only.
The appeal was made available recently by Service manager of the hospital, Senoir Warrant Officer Mafain Philip Tigem who on behalf of the management and personnel called on the population of Bamenda to benefit from the services provided by the hospital. This comes on a backdrop of romour and misinformation that the unit takes care only of the military and is a track trap point for separatists and or their relations for apprehension.

Mafian Philip said, the structure operates like every other standard health facility in the country with experts and equipment in the surgical unit, an emergency unit, physiotherapy, antenatal, delivery and postnatal care, laboratory analysis amongst others like clinical healthcare. He added that the pysiotherapautic facilities is now ready for public consumption.

Healthcare provision therefore should not be stigmatised. Moving vast distances to access healthcare to the authority was and is nul and void as the centre operates 24hr/7days with permanent workers with a well equiped pharmacy. It should be noted that the facility was made avaliable to the population in the 2nd half of 2020 to handle the health needs of the growing population of the Bamenda lll subdivision and beyond.

The health facility is headed by Col. Dr. Amadou and would be employing ventures into other specialities in the days ahead as need arises. Furthermore it employs both military and civilian workers to meet the health needs of the people, thus making gold the fact that healthcare provision is the concern of everyone and for everyone without bias or stigma.
