FAI YENGO GIVES DRR NW COORDINATOR A PAT ON HIS BACK

The National Coordinator of the Disarmament Demobilization and Reintegration DDR boss has heil Sixtus Gabsa and his team of the North West DDR centre for the cleanliness, organized , and the way the Ex-fighters are collaborative.

These remakes were  made on Wednesday November 25,2020 by the National Coordinator of DDR and his delegation from Yaounde during an official visit to the DDR  Bamenda center.

"I have come  to visit you to see you again so that we can continue to move together and materialise the hand of fellowship the head of state has stretched to all of us the young children who come out of the bush. I have listen to you through the songs, through other interventions and we recognized all your difficulties and we are ready to solve them"
said the National  Coordinator.

 He also took out time to highlight a number of projects to the benefit of Ex-fighters and urges them to remain good citizens and also continue to call on those who are still in the bushes to drop their guns and benefit from the what the of the head of state has prepared for me.

"Most of our children here are very collaborative, hard working and resourceful,but the  centre still has some challenges which hinders the smooth running of the day to day activities. Some unethical behavior by the ex-fighters like some go out at will, some still take hard drugs and narcotics, escaping from classes and other assignments." Said Gabsa 

New Ex-flighter 

The DDR North West boss in the course of the visit, presented over 18 newly ex-fighters from Awing-Santa, Ndonga Mantum and other neighboring communities around Bamenda,   who recenstly surrendered their guns and voluntarily came to the center. 

While at the center, the ex-fighters have benefited from a number of training such as the production of rubbing oil,liquid and powder detergents, soap making, perfumes, computer services, tailoring and cosmetics. These items were displaced at the admiration aof the National Coordinator Fai Yengo Francais

The DDR centre, created by a presidential decree of  November 30, 2018 currently host 220 Ex-fighters made up of 137 Men, 23 Girls, and 15 Children, with a good number of them already reintegrated into the society and hav been employed.

Donations of food and non food items like cows, Bags of rice, cartons of fish, Sardine,Tv sets and more were donated to Ex-fighters by HE paul Biya.
