The Bamenda II council area has witnessed a face-lift in the rehabilitation of some roads in Ndzong quarter, Ntabecow, in and around Nitob market while some renovation works have been done in the council’s temporal premises such as painting, electrification, the setting up of security cameras, security lamps and linking all offices with a local network system to facilitate work.
“We have been able to execute our projects with the council heads because they know their areas given that the present insecurity poses a challenge. The greatest challenge so far in executing our projects is insecurity but we derived a formula to use the quarter heads. As per the key projects we have to execute urgently, we have road maintenances which is the greatest cry so far, we have already started with the package which we received from the state and the income we generated and we are expecting more that is why we want to go in for heavy equipment’s like a grater, a front head loader and a truck because we spent a lot of money in renting these equipment’s to execute projects so we want to have ours so that people can also rent from us and we will be able to use it to execute our projects and generate income for the council.” Peter Chenwi said
