BAMENDA: FARMERS CAUTION TO STAY SAFE FROM COVID-19

Amidst the ravaging pandemic across the Globe, farmers still brave the odd to provide  food to the community. It is for this reason that On Thursday May 28, 2020, a join collaborative efforts of the North West Cooperative Association and Euro Afri Link, came together at the North West Cooperative Branch at mile 3 Nkwen to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and create awareness amongst Farmers in the North West Region.

A special team of experts from the corporation and a Nurse from the Bamenda Regional hospital were present to talk to the farmers focusing on preventive measures in order to stay safe from COVID-19 even as the carry on their farming activities. I  According to the nurse,  hand washing remains one of the best way to stay safe from the Corona Virus that is why she took time to demonstrate how effective hand washing is to be done. She equally demonstrated how the face mask is to be used.

On behalf of the General Manager of the North West Cooperative Association, the Administrator of the Association Mr Mathew Nfangwa lauded the gesture that will go a long way to assist Farmers in the North West Region as they keep on walking to provided food to the population despite the advent of the Corona Virus.

The North West Cooperative Association and Euro Afri Link during the come together, reached out to over 60 farmers, donating to them soaps, face mask and other preventive kits to help stop the spread of the corona Virus within the association and beyond.
