According to Pedmia Shatu Tita, the main organizer of the Workshop, who is equally a member of the Cameroon Digital Rights Coalition, it was timely and very necessary for such a workshop to be organized, given the frequent violation of the rights of internet users. She equally stressed that, the violations online are the main reasons for internet shutdown in most African countries, quoting the example of Cameroon in 2017 when the government decided to shutdown the internet on the bases of hate speech and the spread of fake news. Inline with this Pedmia Shatu Tita gave an inclusive presentation on how to mitigate Hate speech, Fake news and how to fact check information so as to ensure a safe space online for everyone.
Issues related to gender base violence online were equally highlighted at the workshop, as echoed during the 38th edition of the UN security council on gender base violence online were nude images of women are been exposed online, making them to shy away from the internet, thereby making it dificult for their worries to be address.

The Journalists, Bloggers and Representatives of the Civil Society Organizations left the workshop well armed and ready to inform and Educate their respective audience and communities on the basic principles of human rights which are equally applicable online. They were all encouraged to be ambassadors of digital rights by being a good example online.
