PCC PEACE AND JUSTICE CENTER INAUGURATED

Moderator post with pioneer students 

The PCC Peace and Justice Center which is aimed at training peace actors to factor peace in the society has been inaugurated by the PCC  Moderator the Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba.

The inauguration ceremony took place in Buea on Tuesday January 15, 2022, According to the Rt Rev Fonki Samuel Forba, this center comes at a time when Cameroon is negotiating dangerous bends. He quoted Nelson Mandela in his words.

 “if you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy". 

PCC Moderator 

With gratitude after the center had been inaugurated, the National Cordinator of PCC Peace work, Rev Nta William Nche commended the efforts of the Moderator for his interest in peace building.

“you are a true  peace crusader” he said.

The center with the objective to train ambassadors of peace will see courses taught built from an international perspective and an upgraded peace of work amongst which are peace and development, conflict studies, peace and justice, peace journalism amongst others.

 

PCC National Peace Coordinator 

According to the PCC Peace Coordinator whp doubles as the director of the Center, the creation and inauguration of the institution has open doors for Cameroonians who would normally fly out in search of peace building to conflict transformation capacity courses.

   The representative of the Mayor of Buea emphasized on the fact that  the crisis in the North West and South West Regions is in the 6th year, a period where peace is most needed.

While appealing  to the P.C.C to create more of such centers in Cameroon for if this is done in every presbytery, the notion of peace and justice would be disseminated through out the entire territory.  He also urged other denominations and civil society leaders to join the P.C.C and the government of Cameroon in the fight to restore peace in the country. 

 

Pioneer Students

The P.C.C Peace and Justice Center(PCC PJC) has two campuses in Buea and Bamenda with over 37 pioneer students. As the P.C.C continue to strive for peace and justice in different dimensions,  it worth noting that, The Rt Rev Fonki Samuel also granted free tuition to the pioneer batch of the Peace and Justice center. He announced that a befitting structure wi be contruction to host the PCC Peace and Justice Center.
