Dream Soccer Academy came into the game with young and talented players who despite thrilling their numerous fans who had come to watch them play were lacking in the final third thus giving Kumbo strikers the leeway to mesmerize with their defensive compartment. The first goal of Kumbo Strikers at the 25th minute of play was like on a training ground as Beltus Tahven succeeded to beat Dream Soccer Academy’s goalie to get the opener. Upon resumption in the second half with the lead still at one nil in favour of Kumbo Strikers, the team from Bui division continued their pressure on their opponents which paid off with a penalty at the 56th minute converted by Zukiply Leinyuy. Multiple chances in favour of Dream Soccer Academy were all squandered thus Kumbo Strikers carrying the day by 2 goals to zero.

The president of Kumbo Strikers, Fai Sali stated after the game that they are upbeat to get a qualification into the league 2 championship despite the numerous challenges one of which is financial. “To finance the players here in Bamenda is not easy because we are paying rents here and there since 2018 till date, I am here with the team. I want that the team should move forward and bring back the memories of its name. I really want that the people of Bui and beyond should help support this team so that they can go places.” Fai said
