Administrative and Military officials
500 Soldiers Led by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have uncovered some strongholes of Separatists fighters in Ngoketujia and Bui Divisions of the North West Region, this was during an operating that lasted for 7 days

While Presenting the results the operation with code name "NgokeBui" to the Commander of the 5th Military Region Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the Gendarnerie Region Brigadier Ekongwese Divine on Saturday June 4, 2020 at the premises of the Military Command post in Kumbo, Colonel Matiang Charles Alain said that the operation was very dificult one given the topography of the area.
Colonel Matiang and his close aid
"For 7 days we were able to treat alot of objectives, In Ngoketunjia division specifically the Amba camps in Baba I, Wasin and Babungo. In Bui Division we treated camps in ibal, Verkei, Ngemsiba, and Oku in Ndum, Njikijem, Elak, Njotin, Tadu, Bim, Kumbo central and other neighboring areas. Given the heavy rains here, it was very dificult for us and this permitted the Amba boys to notice our presents and escape even before we got to their camps. We equally met with some resistant which led to the killings of 17 Separatist fighters with many of them wounded. On our side we lost 1 of our soldier and 3 sustained minor injuries" Said Colonel Matiang Charles Alain

On his part Brigadier General Nka Valere just like in previous outings congratulated Colonel Matiang Charles Alain and his Men for their courage to put an end to the activities of the armed Seperatist fighters. The General used the occasion to salute the efforts of other Soldiers in the locality of Tabah, Andek and those in Widikum who in the same week carried out different operations against separatists. Same in Bali during the Widi-Bali operation, the General reminded the soldiers to be responsible while carrying out their duties on the field, so as to avoid actions that will be against the population which they are called to protect. To the population, General Nka said that, the military is on the field to protect them and not to massacre them as some will think, he called on the population to collaborate for peace to return.
"Those we called Amba boys are our children, the Head of state, who is the chief of the armed forces has prescribe that those who Voluntarily drop drop down their weapons, they will be forgiven and will directed to the DRR Center, therefore I invite them to drop their arms but those who will continue to mount barricades, to kidnap kill people, we will continue our job to stop them" said General Nka.

While responding to the 2rd deputy Mayor of Kumbo Mr Sendze Evance who pleaded that the mlitary should join them in the education of the population, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine, sent accross a strong message to those still in the bushes.
"Our mission is not to massacre our children, but one thing needs to be clear, we can not set and watch our children killing their parents, their brothers and sisters. It has been so for almost 4 years now, what are we getting out of that?, About 60% of Cameroonians are youths, this is their time to build this country, their place is not in the bush. Today the world is changing and Cameroon has to change, they must come out positively and join the development process" said General Ekongwese.
A cross section of Materials recovered
Just like in Bafut I, Bafut II and Widi-Bali operations motorbikes, a good number of locally made Weapons, Dane guns and ammunitions amongst other materials were recovered during the "NgokeBui" operations. Parts of a Millitary Car belonging to the BIR that felt in a valley around Oku some months back were also recovered.
Bridge constructed by the military.
the road to Oku through Meluf
In course of the operations a Civil-Military action was carryout to reopen the stretch of road linking Kumbo to Oku Subdivision passing through Meluf which has been block b for close to 2 years now by Seperatist fighters. The population of the two Subdivisions can again trade through this road which is shorter as compare to the other passing through Elak.
