WIDIKUM,BATIBO, BALI RECIEVED MILITARY CLEAN-UP IN AN OPERATION CODE NAMED "WIDI-BALI "

The commander of the 5th military Region Brigadier General Nka Valere has saluted the bravery of 300 Soldiers headed by the Commander of the 51st Infantry Motorise Batalion, Colonel Matiang Charles Alain in an operation baptised "Widi-Bali" that is in Widikum, Batibo and Bali Subdivisions in the North West Region of Cameroon.

After operation Bafut I and II, Widi-Bali was next on the roll. According to Brigadier General Nka Valere, this operation was motivated by the numerous barricades mounted along the TransAfrican highway by Seperatist fighters, thereby slowing the activities of businessmen and women plying the Road.

While presenting the result of the 5 days operation to the General, Colonel Matiang Charles Alain thanked his hierarchy for given to them the necessary manpower and logistics for the operation that took them to Widikum, Tiben, Befang, Bambeng, Besong, Ewea, Nuben, Batibo, Guzang, Baba I, Piyin and Bali-Central.
"The operation was successful eventhough we would have Loved to present to you a much more better result. In the Cause of this operation while in Piyin we lost a Gendarme, we equally recorded one wounded soldier in the locality of Nuben whose life is not in danger. In total we successful killed 13 Seperatist fighters with several of them wounded. we siezed a good number of  materials from the Amba boys amongst which are motorbikes, tools used in the fabrication of improvise explosive devises, dozens of dane guns, a rocket propeller and a Machine gun which was taken from our men in the locality of Ambo in 2018 after killing a soldier, since then this became a challenge for us to recover this particular weapon, we are pleased that we finally recovered the gun"
Colonel Matiang Charles Alain added that with information from the Gendarnerie in Bali, there is need for them to return for a total clean up.

In response, Brigadier General Nka Valere extended the message of congratulations from the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense to Colonel Matiang Charles Alain and all those who participated in the operation, he encourage them to continue until total peace in return into entire North West Region. General Nka Valere appreciated the soldiers for recoverying the Machine Gun, describing the gun as a very dangerous weapon which can only operated by experts.

"I wish to equally congratulate our men who successfully carried out a raid in Bokam a locality Jakiri, Bui Division killing 11 Seperatist fighters and in Menchum Division precisely in Zhoa where an Ambazonian camp was destroyed and locally fabricated weapons siezed."  the General added.

General Nka Valere used the occasion to denounced the illegal exploitation of the population by some soldiers along the  TransAfrican highway, this he says has to stop. He added that the mission of the Security forces is to secure the population and their property.

While in Bali the General had an exchange with the Divisional Officer for Bali Mr. Dolingo Dzongo who briefed the General on the situation of Bali as concern the activities of Separatist fighters.

BAFUT SUBDIVISION: SOLDIERS SALUTED FOR JOB WELL DONE.

Materials recovered from Bafut  300 soldiers headed by Colonel Matiang Charles Alain have successfully carried out different operations in Bafut Subdivision one of the stronghole of separatists fighters in the North West Region.  For 6 days the soldiers were able to infiltrate some of the hideout of those who  referred to themselves as "Ambazonia fighters" Brigadier General Nka Valere  To access the operations, the Commander of the 5th Military Region, Brigadier General Nka Valere and the Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region, Brigadier General Ekongwese Divine alongside other top military officials in the Region were on the field on Friday May 1, 2020.
